The Forum UK programme is our most important platform for promoting women’s leadership and for enriching each other’s lives by sharing knowledge, ideas and intellectual capital. Our programme is the hub of all our activity and the key to providing and maintaining our sense of community.
The programme incorporates the core categories: breakfasts; behind the scenes tours; briefings; dine-arounds; special interest groups and the annual events: AGM; Jean Denton lecture; Summer Cocktail party; Christmas breakfast. In addition we look to promote the international agenda and benefits of membership of IWF through participation in the IWF programme. We hope our Forum UK 2007/8 programme will encourage networking, growth and the development of Forum for the future.

Continuing our popular series of 'In Conversation with ...' events we are delighted to welcome Baroness May Blood to speak at a Forum UK event.
From the linen mill to the House of Lords
Baroness May Blood of Blackwatertown MBE is a Labour member of the House of Lords.
She was born and raised in Belfast and worked in a linen mill where she soon became an active member of the trades union movement.
Since 1994 she has been the Information Officer of the Greater Shankhill Partnership Co Ltd and is the founding member of the Northern Ireland Women's Coalition. She is the first woman in Northern Ireland to be given a life peerage and in 2007 Baroness Blood published her autobiography 'Watch my lips, I'm speaking'.
The event will be chaired by Forum UK member, Kate Jenkins, who is a Visiting Professor in the Government Department at LSE and a governor of the School.

Drinks and nibbles will be served.
